All eight phantoms: abilities, growth and relics

Guide editor: GAME NOTE

GAME NOTE CLASSIC · GUIDE LIBRARYThe First Berserker: Khazan

Progression, practical choices and current mode rules.

Three different systems

  • Phantom abilities are equipped passive companions that grow with use. Phantom Form is a gauge transformation; Spirit of Advocacy is the golden boss assistance summon.

  • After Stormpass’ Phantom of Combat, open the abilities menu at a Blade Nexus and select a companion. Unlocking one does not automatically equip it.

  • Standing Alone tracks assistance summons during the current journey. Do not confuse passive choices with that summon. Check Hardcore’s separate transformation and assistance restrictions.

Growth and awakening

  • Accompanying you advances growth; matching Ghostly items unlock or awaken abilities. Initial unlock methods differ, so do not assume two items finish every level for every phantom.

  • The April 2025 update made growth faster as more phantoms are unlocked. Open available abilities, then select one that fits your play style.

  • The following entries summarize base and awakened roles rather than presenting level-dependent values as fixed maximum bonuses.

Keshta the Unyielding

  • Base role: Stamina recovery.

  • Awakened synergy: Stamina recovery on enemy exhaustion.

Choosing a companion

  • Try Keshta for stamina, Conrad for dodging, Maximilian for Brink Guard or Adelhaide for healing.

  • Consider Atlante for Javelins, Constantine for Phantom Form and Wulfric for frontal retaliation.

  • Veronika emphasizes assistance. Do not summon golden help for those benefits during a no-assistance journey.
