01The Crevice: accept the phantom mission and collect equipment
After the cinematic, use the portal ahead to reach the Crevice.
Another cinematic shows Blade Phantom's reasons for seeking Khazan from its own perspective.
Speak to Blade Phantom to accept Stormpass' Phantom of Combat. Forming pacts with more phantoms strengthens you; the conversation also opens a new area.
Speak to Oksana on the plaza's left side to extract Lacrima from unwanted equipment. The chest beside her is storage.
The central monument is the mission travel point. Use it to select a destination.
The barrels behind the monument provide eligible preorder and Deluxe Edition gear. Claim these bonuses if available on your account.
02Return to the mountaintop arena: challenge Kesta
After collecting the bonus gear, select the flashing mission marker and choose Stormpass' Phantom of Combat.
Return to Blade Phantom's arena. Absorb the memory left of the boss entrance.
Enter the arena.
Fight Keshta the Unyielding. Its attacks resemble Blade Phantom's first phase, without a phase transition.
03Return to Blade Phantom: unlock and change phantoms
Victory unlocks its phantom and associated attribute bonuses.
Return and speak to Blade Phantom. Change phantoms at a Blade Nexus; press F to equip one. This phantom improves stamina recovery.
